Fairytale Christmas Light Tour

Step lightly, dear guest, for on Friday, December 19, the Meux Home Museum will shine with a gentler kind of magic. For one night only, the house will glow with soft Christmas lights as we welcome you to our Fairytale Christmas Light Tour.

From 6:00 p.m. until the final tour at 8:40 p.m., groups of no more than 10 will move through the halls of this Gilded Age home. Each room will be touched with warm holiday light, trimmed trees, and scenes inspired by the timeless wonder of fairytales. Sparkling ornaments, storybook displays, and delicate winter accents will whisper of Christmases long ago.

The Gilded Age carried Christmas with beauty and intention. Evergreen boughs were gathered by hand, gifts were chosen with care, and the glow of lamplight transformed parlors into places of quiet enchantment. These traditions may feel distant from our modern pace, yet they still stir something familiar and comforting within us.

Do not mistake this evening for a bustling holiday spectacle. No loud fanfare awaits you. What you will find instead is something far more meaningful, a peaceful walk through soft light and story, an intimate moment of calm in the heart of the season.

All proceeds from this event directly support the preservation of the Meux Home Museum, Fresno’s last surviving Gilded Age treasure. Your visit helps protect this historic home and the traditions we safeguard for the generations yet to come.
