SUMMARY:January Closure and Seasonal Preparation
DESCRIPTION:Each year\, the Meux Home Museum pauses its public hours for a short but meaningful stretch. Throughout the month of January 2026\, the museum will be closed as our volunteers care for the house itself. This time allows for deep cleaning\, thoughtful exhibit resets\, and behind the scenes work that protects the home and the stories held within its walls. \nThis quiet season is part of how we honor the past while preparing for the year ahead. When we reopen\, the house will be refreshed\, welcoming\, and ready to receive guests once again. \nThe Meux Home Museum will reopen the first weekend of February 2026\, and we look forward to opening our doors to you then. \nIf you have questions\, would like to plan a future visit\, or are interested in tours\, events\, or volunteering\, we would love to hear from you. \nHow to contact us\n• Email us through the Contact page on our website• Use the Contact Us form for tour inquiries\, rentals\, or general questions• Messages sent during January will still be received\, and we will respond as soon as possible \nWe also invite you to stay connected during our closure by following us on Facebook\, where we share updates\, behind the scenes moments\, and announcements about upcoming events and reopening details. \nThank you for supporting this historic home and the volunteers who steward it with care. We look forward to welcoming you back in February.

SUMMARY:Bygone Bazaar Spring Market
DESCRIPTION:Step Into Spring at the Meux Home Museum\nBygone Bazaar\nJoin us on April 25th\, from 8 AM to 1 PM as the gardens of the Meux Home Museum come to life with our spring Bygone Bazaar\, a lively open air market filled with local vendors\, handmade goods\, vintage finds\, antiques\, and one of a kind treasures. Stroll through the historic grounds\, browse a wide variety of artisans and small businesses\, and enjoy the charm of Downtown Fresno’s last standing Gilded Age home. \nThe Bazaar offers guests the chance to discover something truly special. With offerings that may include antiques\, collectibles\, handcrafted pieces\, home décor\, jewelry\, artwork\, and curious finds\, there is always something new waiting to be uncovered. \nGuests will also find a special booth hosted by the Meux Home Museum featuring donated items that do not fall within the museum’s historic collection period of 1880 to 1929. All proceeds from museum sales help preserve this beloved historic home and support the museum’s educational programs for the community. \nAdmission to the Bazaar is free and open to the public\, making it the perfect way to spend a relaxed morning exploring Fresno’s history while supporting local vendors. \n\nInterested in Becoming a Vendor\nLocal artists\, collectors\, makers\, and small businesses are warmly invited to participate in the Bygone Bazaar. Vendor spaces are free of charge\, though space on the grounds is limited and placement is offered on a first come\, first served basis. \nThis market celebrates antiques\, vintage goods\, handmade creations\, art\, collectibles\, curiosities\, and unique items that reflect the spirit of a traditional open air bazaar. \nTo inquire about becoming a vendor\, select the Vendor Inquiry link below and complete the short form. Submission of an inquiry does not guarantee participation\, as placement is limited and subject to availability. The museum will follow up with additional information about the event\, booth setup\, and participation details. \nVendor Inquiry \nPlease note: Vendor spaces for our upcoming Spring Bazaar are currently full. We are still accepting inquiries to build a waitlist in the event that a space becomes available\, and to begin planning for our Fall Bazaar. Vendors will be contacted as openings arise or as future opportunities are confirmed. \n\nWe look forward to welcoming you to the Bygone Bazaar and sharing a beautiful spring morning at the Meux Home Museum.

SUMMARY:Meux Home Museum Spring Garden Tea
DESCRIPTION:Each spring the grounds of the Meux Home Museum come alive with color\, fragrance\, and quiet elegance. The Spring Garden Tea invites guests to enjoy a leisurely Victorian style afternoon tea set among blooming flowers and the historic surroundings of the museum grounds. \nGuests will be welcomed into the garden for a beautifully arranged tea service featuring delicate refreshments served in the tradition of nineteenth century gatherings. The setting offers a peaceful escape where conversation flows easily and the pace of the day slows for a while. \nDuring the event\, visitors will also have the opportunity to explore the museum itself. Throughout the house and grounds\, living history demonstrators will share the quiet pastimes that once filled Victorian afternoons. Guests may encounter traditional handcrafts\, domestic arts\, and recreations of activities that entertained families during the Gilded Age. \nGuests are encouraged to wear festive spring attire or decorative hats if they wish\, continuing the cheerful tradition of garden gatherings. \nA silent auction will accompany the tea\, offering a selection of unique items and experiences. Bidding provides another meaningful way to support the preservation of this remarkable historic home. \nAll proceeds from the Spring Garden Tea benefit the continued care and restoration of the Meux Home Museum. \n\nTicket Information \nSeating for the Spring Garden Tea is arranged at tables that accommodate eight guests each. Guests are welcome to purchase tickets individually or as a group. \nIf members of your party are purchasing tickets separately but would like to be seated together\, please send an email to events@meuxhomemuseum.org after purchasing your tickets. Include the names of all guests in your party so our team can arrange seating accordingly. \nWhile we will make every effort to seat groups together\, requests must be received in advance so seating arrangements can be prepared prior to the event. \nFor general questions about the Spring Garden Tea\, please contact us at events@meuxhomemuseum.org. When sending your message\, kindly include “Meux Home Museum Spring Garden Tea 2026” in the subject line so we may direct your inquiry to the appropriate team member.
